There’s nothing like a freshly manicured vagina…

So I was getting a wax the other day and it occurred to me that just like face to face interactions, online responses can be caused by topics of interest, amusement or radical expressions.

I’ve never really read up on marketing concepts because I didn’t think they appealed to me but now that I’ve been researching and doing all these online developments, I can see how really relevant they are. I don’t by any means have any aspirations to get into marketing but I do feel that an understanding of at least basic marketing concepts is necessary in order to be able to develop functional social media integrations and websites for businesses. I mean, it’s all very well tracking Analytics and tying all of your media and sites together but what are you tracking them for if you don’t understand how, what, why interactions were or were not caused. Also, how do you keep producing content that will keep your audience tuned in?

“Form follows function”– Louis Sullivan

Building a website is more than just a pretty design. To make it functional, that’s the real art. And it’s not a one off job. Functionality is sure to change over time, just like consumers and markets do. Learning what the Analytics shows you, why the trends are formed the way they are and how to adapt to market changes, that’s the key to long term growth.

I’ve been tracking interactions and responses on a few different websites and social medias for quite some time now in order to better understand what people are likely to click on, read or spend time looking at.

Once you understand that and work how to do it and you see in the results and that you nailed it, that’s what I’m talking about. That’s the satisfaction. Regardless if anyone else around you cares, understands or cares to understand, you can feel it. You know you got it sorted and you can just sit smug for a while basking in your own glory. Until of course, someone more smug points out a few flaws or the page speed rules change…

Ah well, thats just a new problem presenting itself for you to overcome. Shouldn’t be too difficult, if it’s been done once it can be done again and much like hair removal,  it gets easier the more you do it and upkeep is certainly necessary because well, anything that moves and grows and changes can’t be controlled over time by one singular act.
